Comment | The work I do just isn't here. It's mostly online, but all my meetings are in London now.
The streets are filthy; it looks like Glasgow city centre is recovering from a war.
The people are noisier and stupider than they've ever been. Everybody looks the same now. It's like Love Island hit Glasgow so much harder than anywhere else. Glasgow at night, post-lockdown, is what people assume Newcastle is like on a night out. Glasgow used to be great. A night out could take you all over the town and into so many great places. But they've all shut now, or streamilned their offering to sit with the rest of the homogonised centre.
The southside is still alright, but I'd rather be visiting for the weekend than living here now.
The bin collection going to three weeks (and 56 days for glass) makes me think the council here are quite happy for the place to be descending into the filthy squalid shithole that it is too.
Drug deaths through the roof and education figures through the floor.
It's a one-part country but that one party only have one policy, and they're letting everything else slip as they pursue it. |
