If you're feeling bad about getting outbid (like I am right now), know that 50% of people buying houses during the pandemic regret paying as much as they did.

I'm moving the opposite way to you (out towards Loch Lomond) and houses are commonly reaching HR+20%. You've just got to keep the heid, work out how much something is worth to you, and keep at it.
