We just bought in the Southside - to be honest the price is too high.
With a HR of 200k you would be looking at 220-230k sale price. For 200k you can look at decent tenement flats in Shawlands, Mount Florida, Battlefield.
Non-tenements are worth significantly less - look at tantallon towers, excellent location, reasonable size but 30-40% less than a tenement on the same street.
