Comment | I'm slowly ripping the garden here to bits and starting again, it had a massive lawn which was mostly moss due to poor drainage and nothing much else (two dead trees and a gigantic Hydrangea)
All I have planted at the moment other than some wildflowers is Rhubarb. I was given a chunk by a neighbour so planted it, I've had 3 kilos off it this year, won't be harvesting any more from it now, letting it feed the crown for next year.
I have plans to grow peas, carrots, brussels sprouts and potatoes next year, and to replace the lawn area with a clover / wildflower meadow type area to feed the bees.
Not really into having a manicured flower garden, I'd rather have fresh veg. |
