As an American moving soon, it has been almost impossible to get an apartment. They either won't let to me because I can't see it in person or I need a guarantor and they won't accept the university. (UoG has a rent guarantor scheme.) Finally something stuck and it just happened to be in the West End. I was debating on living out Simshill(?) at one point.
