Can you afford to postpone your studies to the next intake so you have adequate time to recover? Even after you can physically walk again, physiotherapy can potentially take another 2-4 months, so realistically your recovery period is about six months.

I was in a similar predicament to yours. I'm an international grad student at Strathclyde and was slated to attend classes last year, but about a month before I was to fly there, I took a fall and tore my PCL. Doctors said I couldn't walk for two months, and I would have to find my own physiotherapy in Glasgow, so I decided to defer to 2021.
