Not trying to argue with you here - it isn't, most of the time, unfortunately. I can tell you that myself because I'm trans. Some hairdressers can be quite uncomfortable to be in as sometimes people treat you... strangely/assume things they shouldn't. There's a reason trans friendly places exist, and have done, for a while! It's just to cut out this unnecessary fuss.
