The Glasgow Club app is the best way to see what sessions are available. Slots open for bookings a week in advance, at 9pm the evening before - so if you wanted to book for Monday 16th August, the bookings open at 9pm on Sunday 8th August.
I’ve been trying to take my son swimming over the holidays, and can only take him to a family swim session as this is the only option for kids. Each pool has 4 family sessions a week, which book up immediately. One session can be for up to 5 people. There are 12 Glasgow Club pools. This means for kids and families, across the whole of Glasgow during school holidays, a maximum of 240 people per week can go swimming. I’ve had half a pool to my son and myself on the two occasions I did get something booked. I know we’re not through the pandemic but it seems excessive.
Lane swimming doesn’t seem to book up as quickly, and the staff at Whitehill pool told me there’s loads of no shows for lane swims, so if a slot suits you but you can’t get booked, show up and there’s a good chance you’ll still get in. Don’t do this for family sessions though. |
