| Comment | I'm just back from a few hours in Coatbridge, and even that was enough to make me forget how utterly fucking disgusting Glasgow is. Still felt like a shock driving back through the city.
It's the [Broken Windows Theory](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_windows_theory) isn't it? One bit gets left to suffer - or, say, bin collections get cut to every THREE fucking weeks - and the shit starts to pile up, so folk presume they may as well throw more shit on the pile.
And the council don't care, that's very obvious. They'll get the votes for now regarldess.
Said it before but I've always been immensely proud to live here, until probably around the start of this year, when things started to open up again and people started to clean up... Except they didn't. I want to move, and would take the hit of a smaller house in a nicer, cleaner, friendlier city than this. Somewhere like what Glasgow used to be like, so pretty much any other modern UK city with universities and music venues and art galleries. Just not this one. |
