I don't think it's just litter. Things during the first lockdown in particular were unbelievably awful in the city centre and I don't think the city has ever really recovered. The streets feel far more dangerous now than they ever did before and there's clearly a lot more of a problem with litter and vandalism. I never used to be that worried about travelling through the city centre at night but now I'm really trying to avoid it. George Square in particular feels a lot less safe. |
