Regardless of what field I would seriously consider going to the shift. If there is any connection between the agency/someone who uses it and a potential employer and they hear you seemed unreliable in turning up it could look bad for future employment. Likewise you don’t know what the future holds and may need/want to go back to the agency at some point, even if you’re certain at the moment you never will. Finally, unless you’ve actually had the job offer in writing and you and they have signed you up, keep all your options open and goodwill on your side. You never know when you need a reference
