I recruit new employees every year, granted it’s permanent and not agency or contract. But if I get a sniff of that kind of behaviour, then I won’t hire the person.
Some newly hired employees Leave without so much as a goodbye. It costs a lot of time and money to run job adverts, run interviews and train successful applicants. So if one leaves me in the lurch, there’s a massive financial burden as I have to spend it all again for the replacement employee. My customers are let down in the mean time, and eventually that cost needs to be borne by lowering wages for new starts or passing the cost onto customers.
