I've found that a good distraction (getting out the house, watching TV, reading a book etc.) Is a good way to take your mind off it.
I'd definitely recommend the free phone app called "Grounded" it's basically a timer that tells you how much money you've saved (you need to enter a few details, nothing personal or extensive, just how much you buy it for, how much you smoke and stuff), and tell you how long you've been off it for. It's nice to see the progress through an app, and I know after a while you'll be happier with your choice.
