look in Ruchill, Summerston, Maryhill, Kelvindale, Anniesland, Cardonald, Kings Park, Croftfoot. They're all perfectly acceptable places to live, maybe a bit suburban, but, and don't have super fancy cafe's on your door step. You'd have no difficulty biking into uni, or grabbing the bus.
