I paid 750 to live off Great Western Rd about 7 years ago, and I only got that because one of us wasn't a student AND we showed them copies of our bank statements to prove we could afford it, and could pass a credit agreement at that amount. Real estate agents tend to have a prejudice against students - the more desirable the area the bigger the prejudice. You're going to struggle in my opinion not because of anything you've done but because there's going to be non students looking in those areas too and they'll get it before you. Try Kinning Park, Cessnock, Ibrox and Govan. They're on the subway route so are still plenty accessible for uni and there's more available. |
