There's a lot to be said for the social side of in-person lectures. Sometimes me and my pals would chat about what we'd just learnt on the walk to the next lecture/lunch/etc but most of the time we'd be talking about plans for later or generally chatting shite. Just having fun going through a shared day together.

These shared experiences are key for feeling connected to other folk and making friends. It's possible to learn all the content 100% remotely but you miss out on so many social opportunities and daft memories that way imo.
