I've never thought about any of the shops on Buchanan Street being private homes before. I'd guess you might find more original features away from the shop floor which will have been remodelled many more times than a typical stock room.

I think that Hobbs, between The White Company and Tiso, has an old glass ceiling that you might find interesting but I doubt that the premises was ever a private residence.

Do you know that GoMA was a private home before being used as a stock exchange/trading house and banking hub? There's plenty of period detail on show in the main hall on the ground floor.
