Live in the area, say hi to the folk with the curly haired hellion.

Cons: the trash. Paisley Rd West is an absolute disgrace. Fly tipping has gotten out of hand and it doesn't help that I've seen school kids and 60 year olds alike drop their trash when there is a bin LITERALLY 5 metres from them. Makes me furiously angry. The recycling in the area is virtually non existent. _However_ even though the council has dropped bin uplift to once every 8 days I've noticed that prior to a game they pick up the bins! It's a surprising bonus. Rangers have also paid for private street sweepers to go along the roads after _events_. So there's that.

Cons: no grocery options, there's no BIG shop to get your weekly shop because hoiking tins back up the road from Asda is a bit of trek. I would recommend getting groceries delivered (most people around here that don't drive do) and getting your bits and bobs from coop and the corner shops. The folk at Co-op are so, _so_ friendly. And you'll likely develop relationships with all the corner shops. ALSO, some of the shops have literally the best deals on lentils and spices and fresh okra. There's also about three shops in a row that have about 12 varieties of potatoes between them. Quality.

Cons: if you're not top floor of the tenement you'll hear others footsteps. If you are top floor your roof maaaaaaay leak. YMMV but yeah.

Cons: that end of the area has quite a bit of dog poo about. I've never caught the culprits but some weeks it's ridiculous

Cons: orange walks. If it's not your thing it can be quite irritating.

Pros: transport. It's great for subway, buses, motorway and Ubers. Really accessible area

Pros: great for take away, because Paisley Rd West is a big main road I usually find my takeaways arrive incredibly quickly, it's a surprising bonus.

Pros: decent green spaces. Theres festival park, but do t go there after match day or late at night, the park at Kinning, Bellahousten which even has an off leash park and Pollok for when you want to go visit some chilled out cows.

Pros: community. I've found a far greater sense of community here than in the west end or city centre when I've lived in those bits. As I said it's easy to develop relationships with all the shopkeepers and your neighbours, there's some genuinely lovely people round here. Clyde community hall, galgeal there's all kinds of social enterprises in the area.

Pros: it's getting trendy. There are some really great businesses opening up in the area.
