I'm in a similar position to you just now. I'm finding that agencies are either ignoring queries, not updating their listings to show that places have already been let, or - so I've been told - students are snapping up flats unseen before the uni courses start up again. All that's really left at the moment are the awful ones nobody in their right mind would touch, or the mid-to-high market lets.

Prices have rocketed lately too - I'm guessing it's both a reaction to the demand for flats just now, and landlords trying to recoup losses incurred over lockdown (a lot of places seemed to be going at the time for half or no deposit, reduced rates).

If you're not fixed on the idea of being in Glasgow proper, East Kilbride and Paisley both have a lot of good flats at more reasonable prices right now.
