It's a really bizarre time just now.

My mate was outbid but 14k on a £120k home report house and he bid 12k over. I was also having a general chat with my mortgage adviser and he said a lot of the increases in certain areas just now are because there is so many people from London moving up to staff the new banking buildings in town, they have so much excess cash from their own sales down south they are outbidding massively.
