parking controls are being developed for the Thornwood and Broomhill area and Council officers are aware of the parking issues currently being experienced. If the parking controls are successfully introduced indiscriminate/obstructive and commuter parking in the area will be eradicated by maximum stay restrictions in parking bays and these parking issues currently being experienced on many streets will be tackled at junctions, accesses, driveways, narrow roads, etc., with the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions out with marked parking bays. Other measures would be introduced to maximise parking and traffic flow in the area including one way streets and mandatory 20mph speed limit in the residential roads off Crow Road, Clarence Drive and Broomhill Drive.
