| Comment | If you can get someone with a bit of knowledge then Gumtree has loads of older cars, but unless the person has had the car for years and maintained it then expect to fix some things, thats life with 2nd hand cars. I have had 5 cars , all costing around £1000 - £1600, from gumtree, all lasted about 4 years before they became too old and uneconomic to repair. I would expect a £3000 - £5000 car to be in very good condition with only very minor things to fix if any. |
