Fun fact: the premises above the Grant Arms used to be a draper's shop owned by a man called Samuel Moorov, who liked to corner his young female staff and stick his hands up skirts and down blouses. Eventually, 13 women he had so victimised came forward and a prosecution was launched - the court finding that separate accusations of the same conduct can corroborate each other, a legal principle still found today called the *Moorov* doctrine.
