To me it’s disrespectful, do you respect people’s gender identity? Do you think it’s fine to purposefully misgender people?

To me, as a obviously cis male, if another man said it to me there’s no doubt in my mind they would have said it to patronise / condescend / get a rise. Basically saying ‘hey little girl’.

If a friend said it to me obviously I would understand if it was playful ribbing or said with affection.

If any women told me they didn’t like any word or phrase I would endeavour never to say it again around them.
