If it's nice it is lovely. The town centre is a bit grim now but McCaigs folly is worth a wander. If you're driving there's a few ways to go, the George Hotel in Inverarie is nice for dinner and the views on the way up are gorgeous. There's a also a lovely wee church between inverarie and oban that's worth a visit, you can walk through it to look out onto the loch.
