| Comment | Main reason: they're on their holidays, like how you can go to Tenerife, Kavos or Ibiza and find a large amount of Scots, Old Firm pubs, things catered towards Scots etc. More people than usual are staying in the UK for a holiday for obvious reasons. The local Scots? They're all at work.
Other reason: Immigration, Scotland is generally accepting of immigrants and certain immigrant groups gravitate to certain areas e.g same as how there's Pakistanis in Pollokshields and Romanians in Govanhill, English folk head for the country. In this case, our current ruling party believes that all immigrants are Scottish. So you actually did hear lots of Scottish folk, they probably just didn't sound how you expected. |
