Grew up in Northern Ireland. Mum/Dad quite well off and house quite “architectural”...it was used by helicopter pilots as a landmark. They changer course by a bit right over the house.Chinooks/pumas flew particularly low. If you were a squaddie in NI stationed in ballykinlar or thiepval you probably have given me a wave back. People here saying they are loud..you should hear them at 80-100 ft. It must’ve been the right height to avoid ripping slates off but keep it low. |
