That’s so shit! It’s hard enough opening up about anything mental health wise with a GP but to basically be dismissed is heartbreaking. How are you doing now? I have been lumbered under the depression and anxiety category for about 15 years now and nothing seems to help me all I want is to live a ‘normal’ life and be able to hold down a job but the medication and psychotherapy I’ve had so far hasn’t pulled me out of whatever it is that’s wrong with me. Loads of people have mentioned autism to me but as a female who on a good day can be incredibly sociable it never occurred to me until I read into it but like OP don’t know where to turn next. Anyhoo I really hope your doing ok and your experience didn’t put you off getting the help your entitled too x |
