They won’t reject you until someone has actually accepted the job in writing and this can take a while because they’ll offer it to the strongest candidate who may haggle over pay etc.
If they don’t accept the job for whatever reason then it’ll get offered to the second strongest candidate and so on. So you could even be the worst candidate and get offered the job lol, although they’d tend to readvertise if that was the case.
There’s no harm chasing it up in general but if you think you’ll want to haggle then this can make you seem too keen. Depends what level on your career you are at. If it’s less than 10 years experience then you probably won’t be haggling much. |
