I'm getting the feeling it's more of a rural thing lol! I grew up in rural Scotland and there was a place nearby (like an outdoorsy type place with a cafe, some wee shops, kids activities, etc) that ran an Apple day each year. It's legit just a bunch of stalls selling different types of apples, some stalls with games (dooking for apples, longest peel competition, etc), some stalls with apple juice or cider... I'd recommend going to one if you get the chance, they're fun!
