Looks like an old school electric storage heater. Would probably need an electrician to disconnect it. (Or if it’s on it’s own spur you could do it yourself if you are confident) If it is a storage heater is going to be really heavy so would look to get the cover off and pull the bricks out to make it a bit lighter.
