| Comment | It depends on the shop. Most chain/large stores have tills that can’t be opened unless a transaction that requires payment has gone through. Managers will have a key to override it but they might not want to do it for something like that.
I’d try independent shops, small newsagents or convenient stores. Otherwise wait until tomorrow and go to a Post Office. |
