| Comment | Having black mold violates health and safety laws, does it not? Do you have a contract with your landlord? If you have the standard tenancy agreement, there should be something there about ensuring the safety of the leased premises, to which the landlord is liable, and should therefore cover any necessary repairs... Black mold is dangerous and if that doesn't get resolved right away (or you aren't willing to/cannot move out), then you're putting yourself in great risk. You could also maybe seek advice from the City Council or the Health and Safety people (www.hse.gov.uk/contact)? |
