People here do seem to sometimes exaggerate how bad it is...but all the same I have lived in a fair few countries and UK cities and I don't think Glasgow is a good performer either.
Like you say, litter is an issue, but I also feel like there is more of an issue with run-down and forgotten buildings, drunks and in-general not very healthy looking people...which while it doesn't necessarily perfectly correlate with safety might create a sense of danger...whether reasonable or not.
Finally, while I don't have any strong data to back this up...it seams based on observation that in my international bubble I have yet to meet anyone post lockdown who actually want to settle here...people are here for jobs or studies, but it seams we all intend to move somewhere else once finished... |
