Tbf some of those things just have no appeal due to cultural references and stuff, not anything to do with the accent.
My partner is English and loves Limmys Show (bit more surreal/less Glasgow specific) but just doesn't understand 3/4 references and premises of Still Game so doesn't enjoy it.
