Castle Semple Loch by Lochwinnoch. You could get the train to Paisley Canal and then its a straight-up, totally flat off road cycle route all the way. My wife isn't a cyclist and she managed the route there and back.
Edit: Now I think about it, it's not totally flat, a bit of gentle up and down, but not bad.
