Comment | Aye it's poor, but consider the fact that there is so little infrastructure and investment to develop new sitcom writing in Scotland, I think it's an achievement that they even got the show together. The mistake they made was to frame their indie production as a TV show, and invite comparisons with actual television by putting it on Prime. It needs so much development and it wasn't anywhere near ready for the amount of exposure and PR they brought it.
Moral is: new writers in Scotland need more opportunities to get stuff produced, and to fail with safety (imagine reading these reddit comments after spending 4 years making this) |
