I’ve worked with drugs and alcohol, cocaine and Valium use are really predominant in Scotland. We’ve been in a drug pandemic for a long time.

My friends as well would have a bit of coke on the weekend and go about doing their 9-5. To be honest I’ve not been on a proper night out since covid hit but i know a lot of people want to get back to ‘normal’ and going through a phase of catching up on what they missed on.
There is cocaine anonymous which people can go to as well as turning point. I’m not sure about meetings because of restrictions.

I’m all in favour of legalising like a lot of other have mentioned as from first hand experience our drugs services do need an overhaul. Also a lot of professions like chefs, lawyers are rife with cocaine use (this is from my experience, don’t be a dick and mention all professions will have it. I’m aware of this I’m talking on what I’ve seen working with drugs and alcohol misuse).
I would also like to see a massive influx of mental health services (wouldn’t we all), a lot of people self medicate because they aren’t getting the help they need. As much as I think overall there is more acceptance of mental health, service wise the NHS haven’t caught up to it. It can take more than 16 weeks to get a first appointment.

Im just rambling now sorry, I’m sorry for anyone who has seen or experienced someone getting hurt through drug or alcohol abuse.
