I’m from Motherwell and the area has seen a massive amount of young men taking their own lives in the past few years, and loads of young guys struggling with mental health. I’m not saying every one of them was taking Coke, but there’s a significant number. People just brush it under the carpet for the most part. There was even a documentary made about the suicides in the area and cocaine wasn’t mentioned.
The solution is in progressive drug policy and education. It also doesn’t help that the cocaine most people are getting is full of absolutely horrendous shit. Someone I know died after taking cocaine with fentanyl in it. |
