| Comment | I think inflation has made it pointless. Coins today are worth so little it's not worth kids while to roll about for them, and media has made it so most kids (even younger ones) would be afraid of being called a Jakie for picking up anything less than a pound coin. So now the only people who could afford to throw a £50+ Scramble are precisely the ones who would murder their children for scrabbling on the street for coins. Or they might do it so they and their kids could stand back and watch The Poors fight over shrapnel? |
