This is something I’ve definitely noticed over the last few years. I’ve dabbled in things in the past but everyone would always keep it on the down low and not want to draw too much attention to themselves. Now it’s become so normalised among the youngsters, they will talk about taking lines so blasé the way I’d have talked about doing shots of apple sourz at their age. They don’t care who is listening because it’s almost kind of assumed that everyone else is doing it too (maybe they are).

It doesn’t seem to matter which group of people I’m with, there’s always one person on the hunt for a bag as soon as they’ve got the taste for alcohol.

I’ve lost friends to suicide because they couldn’t see a life beyond the party, and even that hasn’t been enough of a kick up the arse for their peers. I’m not anti-drug, I’ve had some amazing nights myself, but the problem is that people just don’t know where to draw the line.
