Yeh there some weird "we have the worst weather" self loathing thing thats got a pretty strong grip, like its the part of the reputation we are proud of. I really like the Scottish weather, you get 4 seasons, some nice sunny days but rarely too hot and sunny to really enjoy it. There is green grass pretty much the year round.

10 years ago living in Edinburgh I could definitely have done with a few more warm days in the summer to enjoy hanging outside in the meadows (there used to be like one or 2 days a year where the meadows would be absolutely rammed), rest of the time even on a warm day as soon as the sun went down it was still too cold. Not sure if its because global warming or that Glasgow is warmer than Edinburgh but last few years have been very nice.

There are places with very nice weather, Hawaii is pretty amazing, Taiwan, but takes me about 3 days to get sick of the burning sun in Spain and most places south of that, even Netherlands these days are just too hot in the summer.
