| Comment | I moved to Glasgow 3 years ago and at the same time started a huge coke problem.. luckily I am clean now but it really messed up my finances and some friendships. I never knew how much of a problem it was here, my issue is I can’t take a bit and then continue my 9-5 where a lot of people seem to be able to.
It is also stupidly easy to get and is delivered in like 5 minutes any part of the city. I would empty my bank account, keep going all morning into the next afternoon then call sick for 3 days at least as you need a good week or so to get over the mental side affects in my case
I think it is far too normalised. The guy I dated at the time told me everybody takes coke and would take it everyday and I’ve met a lot of people like that. I ended up on this everyday for months over the winter 2018/19 and it very close to ruined my life
Support groups help as does changing your friend group even if it means having no friends like me! It makes me really sad to think what I messed up for gear but glad I’ve learned the lesson |
