It depends on the time of the day, the security was empty (and most outlets closed) when I took an evening flight last week, but Monday mornings have been quite busy with long queues at security.
I didn't use the bag drop and was flying domestic so no paperwork or delays due to check-in staff controlling other people's paperwork.
