Spotted a ton at Braehead Sainsbury’s (think it was there) They were keeping boxes in big cages near the tills for people to help themselves.
Clothes etc in big strong bin bags always worked well for me!
Not free but you really need, B&Q and IKEA sell boxes in varying sizes at reasonable-ish prices.
