| Comment | You do know they are the same religion right?different sects of Christianity. Protestantism came about because they differed on opinion from the Catholic sect. Mainly papal rule being of a higher directive than the rulers of the land etc. In Scotland for example a lot of people were still loyal to clans, to local Lords and didn't want to be loyal to the Pope over them. Others were the opposite. It is the same religion but with differing opinions on certain things.
Of course one was around first as someone had to disagree with certain aspects for a new sect to be created. |
