Of course, if the idea was to take off and grow, you would be tempted to charge more, rake in profits...but it's not really the point. It's about doing something worthwhile for the workers, for the community, filling an unmet need...
As a nurse, I have felt undervalue and underpaid at many times in my career. But, ultimately, I love what I do, I feel it's rewarding, and I accept that I'm never going to get rich from this.
If you can find some like-minded folks who want to do something for the greater good, that's half the battle. |
