| Comment | Congratulations on fatherhood! My wee guy is 4 and I went through all the same questions when he started nursery (at 9 months). You should expect the odd photo and video but in all honesty, if the staff spend a lot of their time taking photos and videos of each child in their care then I’d be worried that other things were being neglected. I know it’s tough to be away from your kid all day but it’ll get easier. As long as they update you at the end of each day with anything you need to know, how many nappy changes and what they had to eat etc, then anything else is a bonus. You’ll find that as he gets older and starts to work through the learning curriculum, you’ll get more frequent updates; our nursery has an online portal where they post photos of the kids doing activities, learning about colours and numbers, that sort of thing. |
