I did my first snorkel at the beach between Ardrossan and Seamill. Clear and very interesting.
I've tried Loch lomond, loch ard, loch chon and loch lomond, found the plant matter a bit dense to see much.
Swimming: Milarrochy bay is a great safe first fresh water swim.
