Where will you be working? Depending on that, look at travelling by train so you can look further like East Kilbride (I’ve loved my entire life along that train line at various points along it and it’s very handy).
Ask some of your uni friends who are working in Glasgow where they live and how they are finding the commute. Also if you’re still in contact with any nurse mentors ask them where they think would be worth looking at for the commute.
Don’t set your heart on a particular area too much if you don’t currently have somewhere to stay.
As others have said, sit refreshing the different websites and apps and call as soon as you see something
